How compatible is your twelve men experience?
if you have this question i just wanna say sorry, 'cause the answer is prolly: not very
Twelve Men was coded on a 1920x1080 monitor in firefox on windows 10, with the brightness set just a lil too high, and the room lights most likely off
because of this:
- the brightness of darker photos especially will have detail that will just appear too dark or muddy on some displays, such as phone screens in sunlight
- some assets such as font size or scroll bars may appear differently or with different sizes depending on the device or even browser. I tried to unify these but there wasn't really an easy solution with the current layout
- it will probably display on your phone, but everything will probably be very tiny, as it's just the desktop site scaled down. So it'll work but it's not really meant to
- optimizations for screen readers and other mediums in general are not present. i sadly barely have enough time to update the site as is, so adding accessibility features to everything would just be too much work
- other sizes and aspect ratio monitors will also probably work, and are mildly intended to be supported. i can't guarantee everything though
- there's a lot of images everywhere and it's kinda really dependent on them. they shouldn't take forever to load but like some text is part of images and a lot of buttons are too and whatnot
- the code has been coded over the span of several years so it's kinda just generally a mess
to conclude:
- twelve men has always just been a silly li'l personal project made for myself. a lot of people looking at this makes me kinda nervous actually. so everything is kinda optimized for me. if it happens to also be optimized for you then i'm glad you could enjoy the site, and if not then i am sorry
